Intel

Chandler, Arizona

Intel’s Chandler, Arizona facility required a custom-designed enclosure to house dual 275-gallon Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) for handling hot caustic waste from their tool drain. The project aimed to build an all-316-stainless-steel enclosure capable of withstanding temperatures up to 130°C and fully sealed to prevent leaks. Additionally, all components had to be resistant to the highly corrosive materials in the waste, ensuring long-term durability and safe operation.

We faced the following challenges:

  • The waste material was highly corrosive, requiring careful selection of materials.
  • The high temperature of the waste made finding suitable construction materials difficult.
  • The project required a first-of-its-kind design, as there was no previous template or blueprint to follow.

We fully designed and built the enclosure from scratch to overcome these challenges. Our custom approach involved full customer collaboration throughout the design and product selection process, ensuring all components met the unique requirements. The enclosure was completely built in-house without subcontracting, and our team provided onsite product sign-off, testing, and installation support to guarantee the system met Intel’s specifications.
