Estée Lauder

The Estee Lauder Canada facility required a specialized ultrapure water (UPW) system to meet strict sanitary specifications. The project’s goals included producing equipment that adhered to sanitary standards with traceable documentation for all product contact components, constructing fully welded and polished 316 stainless steel frames, and designing a 20 GPM system that could be upgraded to 40 GPM. Additionally, the system needed to allow future equipment to be added seamlessly without disrupting the existing setup and include a PLC and HMI interface that could be updated during future expansions.
We faced the following challenges:
- The system had to be installed in a small room, which required mounting the heat exchangers on a skid and making the equipment more compact.
- The reverse osmosis (RO) systems had to be mirrored to operate back-to-back efficiently.
- The system had to be pre-designed for easy integration of future equipment.
To address these challenges, we implemented an Estee UPW Sanitary 20GPM RO/CDI system, complete with distribution and heat exchanger components. The custom design allowed the equipment to fit the limited space while ensuring future scalability and uninterrupted performance.
